Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
Before Natty, on Maverick I have had the same problem https:/
But after upgrade to Natty it's getting worse. Now I can not enable wireless at all.
Wireless adapter detected, driver successfully load, rfkill and network manager saw disabled wireless adapter, but can not enable it. I tried:
1. Checkbox in Network Manager plasma applet.
2. /usr/bin/nmcli nm wifi on
3. rfkill unlock all
It's doesn't help.
I also tried:
1. Attach externam USB wireless adapter. I can not enable it too.
2. Boot LiveCD of Kubuntu 11.04 - exactly same problem.
3. Remove NetworkManager.

The problem in the acer_wmi kernel module.
After I blacklist (or just rmmod) this module wireless is starts to work. That also solves two other problems (disabled by default wireless and sound).
So, now I didn't sure:
The problem in the
1. acer_wmi kernel module,
or in this fact:
2. acer_wmi kernel module starts on unsupported (by this module) hardware.
