Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Since upgrading to Natty I can't run unity (or compiz) with Nvidia proprietary drivers.
When loading unity session the dock is loaded but wherever on the desktop I click I get no response.
Indicators aren't loaded too.
Using nouveau drivers unity session is loaded correctly and fully working.

Can you log into gnome-classic and paste the output of unity_support_test -p?

Simone, start the 'Ubuntu' session from gdm. Go to a tty, login and type the following

$ export DISPLAY=:0
$ unity --reset

then check if that helps. Your unity_support_test -p suggests unity should work for you.

@Omer Akram : tried but doesn't helped.
I noticed that ,when loading my unity session, some process consumes high resources. I can't get 'top' output 'cause tty chars are unreadable, I only hear my HDD quickly spinning. :-)

Simone, if you haven't resolved your issue, I am running a Dell Dimension 9200 w/ GeForce 7300LE. What is working for me is the 173 proprietary driver. Make sure the "current" and "nouveau" divers are uninstalled and the 173 driver is active.
