Bug Description
In relation to Question #155707 there is not any documentation or advertising explaining to users that they have the choice to remain with the Classic desktop or the new Unity desktop.
A screen or explanation during the install process may help.
Thanks

I'm sorry, but we don't want anything like that. GNOME-Panel was on the CD as a _fallback_ in case Unity fails. In Oneiric, Unity-2D will take its place, and you won't have gnome-panel any more.
Unity is the new face of Ubuntu. Showing two different interfaces will not only confuse the user, but will also show an inferior side of the Ubuntu OS.
Moreover, gnome-panel 3 will be in the Oneiric main repositories, so if you still like it, all you'd need to do is install the gnome-panel package in Oneiric and then, just like in Natty, you'll get a choice at the GDM/LightDM login screen.
