Bug Description

Binary package hint: libreoffice

1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 11.04
Release: 11.04

2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer
libreoffice-writer:
  Installed: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
  Candidate: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
  Version table:
 *** 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

3) What is expected to happen in Writer is when one clicks inside the Find textbox on the Toolbar, the word find disappears.

4) What happens instead is the word find is still inside the box. This does not occur in Calc.

WORKAROUND: Delete the word Find and type in the desired search.

The problem doesn't surface in context to any document but happens in
general. For example, I have Writer (or Calc) opened, with a new blank
document and click on any of the Arrow Button (without even touching the
textbox that accepts the word to search for) on the right side of Search
Textbox (as shown in attached screenshot), it looks for the word "Find" in
the document (rather than prompting me to enter search term), where the word
"Find" is not my search term but is the watermark of the Textbox. If I type
in any word the textbox, than the search behaves as expected. I hope I'm
clear enough to explain the situation.

Kushal, this was reproducible in Ubuntu 11.04, LibreOffice Writer. However, with Calc the "Find" is unsearchable and disappears if one clicks within the box. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
