It looks as though nmbd failed to start, but there's not much info beyond that. In order to help us figure out what happened, could you please do
grep samba /var/log/daemon.log > /tmp/output
grep samba /var/log/syslog >> /tmp/output
grep nbd /var/log/syslog >> /tmp/output
grep nbd /var/log/daemon.log >> /tmp/output
ps -ef | grep nbd >> /tmp/output
and post /tmp/output here as an attachment?
