cups, impossible to print with my HP1018

Binary package hint: cups

I started to use Linux for a couple of month ago. From the beginning, I have had big troubles with printing. It was possible to print, but one print could take about ten minutes before it was printed. Now it just dont work.
I have tried everything I can, searched information on the net but cannot just fix this.

HP Laserjet 1018 requires proprietary plugin to work with hplip.
If you don't have it installed please run "sudo hp-plugin" to install the plugin.

Hello Jiri and thank you for your reply.

I have already done that and it is not working anyway. When I print, HP drivers say the print is started and some seconds later it says that the print has been done. I have seen many people complain about that with different printers, so I guess it is some kind of bug anyway.
I have tried to install again now, tried to print from gedit and the same result.
