Scale Addons' "Window Title" feature doesn't work under Unity

I just installed Natty and am using unity.

I've enabled Scale and Scale Addons in CompizConfig Settings Manager.

I've set Window Title Display (in the Appearance tab) to "Highlighted window only", but I never see window titles when I invoke Scale. ("All windows" has the same effect.)

If I enable Window Highlight, I can see the highlight (so my changes in ccsm are doing something).

I think bug 741950 is suggesting that this feature doesn't work on small screens, but I have an Inspiron 1545 which is a 15" screen.

I just exported my compiz settings, reset to defaults (with the "unity" profile selected), exported the default settings, and then imported my settings, and now "Window Title" works.

This may be an issue with unity's default settings?

Yeah you're right. I just tried it on a livecd on another machine. Marked as Invalid.
