This does not reproduce on every computer, I have successfully upgraded my computer from 10.10 to 11.04. The cause needs further investigations. Also not that bug #464064 seems very similar, only that was reported at a lucid->maverick upgrade.

This error occurs because the mirrors are overloaded and fail to respond (or respond with a timeout)

The solution is to try again later or try another mirror.

Next week I will try again upgrade my installation, I don't risk now,
because tomorrow I have a meeting to demonstrate a web system hosted in my
machine, I have another workstation, I will try upgrade that.

I'm using Kubuntu on Server LTS 10.10, the other computer is Ubuntu-Desktop
10.10, If I arrive be make the upgrading, I will switch to Ubuntu-Desktop
session, and try the upgrade again in Gnome Environment.
It's because many times the software(KpackageKit) of KDE presents bugs and
crash sometimes maybe this can be the origin of problem.
