no buddy icons appears on system start up

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

on system start up the main window of empathy appears , but no buddies icons on it , no icon of empathy in tray.
the option -"automatically connect on startup" are cheked.
when doing chat->quit and then running the programm again maualy every thing going OK.

which network manager are you using, can you try disabling the option 'use_conn' in empathy's settings in gconf-editor, that way empathy won't wait for the network manager to connect. Please let us know if that helps.

the network manager is "NetworkManager Applet 0.8.1"
i am using xfce i don't have "gconf-editor"
so i did gconftool-2 -t bool -s /apps/empathy/use_conn false
but iy not helped.
