interface bug when maximizing window it moves right. Check video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv4wiQHVc4w . all I do just double click on the window to maximize and than to minimize it make double click on top panel.

BTW, if you click window control button to restore windows, it will not shift. Only double click on bar shift window to right.

I'm no longer able to reproduce this in Oneiric with Unity 4.10.2-0ubuntu2.

That's a great news since it's quite an annoying bug for daily uses of
Ubuntu. Now I can safely switch to Oneiric.

To confirm the correctness of your comment, I downloaded the daily build of
Oneiric, and turned out to be a huge disappointment for the reason that the
issue remains. Hope it will be killed on the final release.

I can confirm that issue is NOT FIXED in Oneiric Alpha 3 (+with updates to 28.09.2011)

Sorry for the false hope - it seems to depend where on the top panel you click. I opened a gnome-terminal, maximized it via a double click on the window border, then double clicked right next to the "Help" menu item in the top panel and the window restored to its original position. Double clicking further on the outside thought should the same old buggy behavior.

11.10 Beta 1 cannot reproduce it any more. Probably it fixed.

rebooted couple times, tried different programs, and it works perfect for me. Do not know if it will work for you, but I guess it should.
