I didn't manage to reproduce that crash. I'll try with previous revisions of the code.

Does anyone manage to reproduce it?

Julietsl: Is it still crashing with the current versions?

Loic: I haven't tried to reinstall compiz again. Frankly I'm not too keen to
try it out again considering last time I had to reinstall Ubuntu all over
again. I had no idea how to fix the issue otherwise.

It seems like this bug is fixed now since nobody can reproduce it and there's no comment apart from the only duplicate that's been reported more than 1.5 months ago.
