This is due to a race condition somewhere between banshee and gdbus. In fact Rhythmbox manifests this bug sometimes. It is because when the track details property-changed signal is emitted the actual date on the said properties are stale by one track. It's like the signal is sent prematurely because a timeout of 100 msecs are so usually resolves the issue.
