Bug Description

I set that the combination Ctrl+Alt+M to launch the multimedia program, via the keyboard settings application.

In the preferred Application I set that the music player is Banshee via the system preferences.

But when i press Ctrl+Alt+M it launches Totem.

In the same i set that the Play/Pause is the Pause Button.
The button does function (I checked via xev), but Banshee ignore it.
But I set also that the next song is played with Shift+Ctrl+Pag_Down and this functions!

Is it a bit odd, or not? XD

Try setting different keyboard shortcuts. If the problem remains, it may be an issue with banshee.

Ok, the Play/Pause was solved changing shortcut.

The other issue was not, it always launches Totem.

Now I'm trying to remove totem, as I'm not using it.

Is this a bug, or just a configuration issue?

Oh, I don't really know!

It seems as the Pause button is reserved for something, but I can't find for what :P

The other problem was solved removing totem, I'm planning to format everthing and start over after the 28, with the stable release of Natty. I'll upload any news if there will be.

If you re-map the keyboard shortcuts to be ctrl+shortcut key, then it should work. It worked on my laptop.

@Davide, please respond if the solution Chris suggested fixed the issue. If so, please mark the issue as Invalid, since this is a config issue.

Adding Ctrl or changing key is a wordaround that works, but it's not
properly a solution at the problem.
