Bug Description

Hello,

I did the upgrade from ubuntu 6.06.1 (with that version the game "gnu go" (cgoban) worked) to 6.1 (Edgy) a few weeks ago. I am not sure if I played the game since that. But today this failure occured.
Sorry that I cant tell you more about it.

Does it crash every time, or just that once?

hi,

it crash every time! I removed it from my system and installed it new but that had no effects.
I installed it on dream-linux and it works.
is there a possibility to "downdate" my ubuntu? Because with the older version, like i wrote, it worked.

For me it works with Feisty, although the cgoban version seems to be the quite same there (1.9.14-11ubuntu1), with only these changes:
        cgoban (1.9.14-11ubuntu1) feisty; urgency=low

  * Added .desktop file for Gnome/KDE menus (closes LP: #91694)
  * Added debhelper to build-deps
  * Changed maintainer to MOTU

Confirming Cgoban segfaults for me too.

1) Removing .cgobanrc - no effect (still segfaults)
2) Reinstall from .deb - no effect

Adam: it worked for me in Feisty, too, already.
That does not mean that it works for the reporter, of course.

carsten, BenO: is it still crashing for you in Ubuntu Hardy? (There has not been a new upstream release, so probably yes).
If so, can you please submit the crash report (as a new bug) for it?
What graphics card/driver are you using?

Thank you.
