Bug Description
Binary package hint: hal
Hi,
I'm using Kubuntu 6.06 with latest KDE from:
deb http://
repository.
They provide thier own hal packages, but with origal one everthing was working fine... until latest upgrade of hal (and hal-related packeges: libhal-storage0 and libhal-
I've had to back to packages from kde's repository (exactly this packages: http://
The Changelog files in KDE's hal (0.5.7-1ubuntu18.1) and your from update repository hal (0.5.7-1ubuntu18.2) differ, in KDE's changelog I can find:
hal (0.5.7-1ubuntu18.1) dapper; urgency=low
* Install Storage scripts

so I thought that you missed tihs scripts in update.
Oh, I almost forget - I was testing this new hal packages when they were still in "experimental" repository (or "proposed" - I don't remember the name now). The same problem. Hopefully KDE's hal packages fixed this probably by adding "nstall Storage scripts". Now hal in "update" have higher number and many people with Kubuntu will have that problem. I tested this on second computer witch latest KDE - tha same problem. I haven't checked it yet (an probably I'll not) on default KDE from Kubuntu.
