Bug Description
I struggled with the user interface for a few minutes before digging into the code in order to improve the UI experience:
* Allow the user to clear the last letter of the guess entered using backspace.
* Clear the guess even if the guess turns out to be a bad word.

Oh I forgot to mention that the patch attached is dependent upon patch in bug #75219, though I expect it to apply with some fuzz nonetheless.
