Therefore I want to ask for whitelisting hp-systray to make it working on a Unity desktop without needing any patches and adaptions.

so as discussed on IRC, Qt has no way to use the indicators without adding a depends on libkde so that needs to be whitelisted until someone comes with a qt way to speak to indicators
