musescore aborts on an empty xml file

Bug Description
Binary package hint: mscore
when importing the attached (but incorrect) musicxml file exported from rosegarden 10, musescore abruptly exits with the .xsession-errors reporting
2cannot parse <1.0>
registerPlugin: add action idx 7
Load plugin: no menu property
preferences.

Import MusicXml:
even if the musicxml file is invalid, I think the program should report the error and continue, not abort.
this is using the very latest debian-backport mscore 1.0 as downloaded via apt this morning using the ppa given in the mscore documentation, and running on a Ubuntu 10.04.2

I just tested the process again, this time using a freshly generated musicxml file which does contain the A part (the score only contains the A part, the others were not done and the intention was to migrate the work to mscore) -- the program aborts again, this time with
