Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

XV video output with the radeon driver (at least I assume it is a driver problem) produces incorrectly coloured video output. The effect can be seen from the gstreamer-properties application by selecting both xv and no xv options in the video tab and clicking 'test'.

I'll attach screen shots of the good and bad output.

It looks fine here. Make sure some app didn't mess up the Xv attributes for the Xv ports (e.g., check if XV_BRIGHTNESS, XV_SATURATION, etc. are set to 0) Use xvinfo or xvattr to check.

Hi grant, the upstream bug report indicates they think it's an app that messed up your color map. Can you confirm the issue is still affecting you?

If it is, can you outline the steps you follow to reproduce it? Also, try using xvinfo or xvattr to check if some parameters are being changed by those apps but not being restored after.
