the header file config.h
was removed sometime after the 2.6.35-28 kernel (this version worked for me to compile the rr2323x driver.

The other changes are needed to support the changed structures in the linux 2.6.38 kernel

This looks like it might be the same problem.

Hi Andrei,

You can find a more recent version of OpenSwan (2.6.31) in this PPA https://launchpad.net/~openswan/+archive/openswan-testing

I don't know if this version will work as I only tested OpenSwan on Ubuntu Lucid but maybe you could give it a try.

Simon

Andreas, I am not a Ubuntu programmer, just a user. I used your upgrade to update my Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.4. Kernel 2.6.38-8 (generic and pae) never worked--cant boot--so I was using Kernel 2.6.35-28 to boot. The new update to Kernel 2.6.38-10 (generic and pae) also does NOT boot. This is getting annoying, as these are your upgrades, not something I am doing on my own. Can you at least produce a pae version of Kernel 2.6.35-28, so that I can use my 4 Gb of RAM? It is the only Kernel I can boot to.

Thank you,
Sirman

 * blcr (0.8.2)... [fail]
 * openvswitch (1.1.0~pre2.g2.ea763e0e)... [ OK ]
 * openafs (1.4.14)... [ OK ]
 * open-vm-tools (2011.03.28)... [ OK ]
 * batmand-gateway (0.3.2)... [fail]
 * tp-smapi (0.40)... [ OK ]
 * batman-adv (2010.0.0)... [fail]
 * xtables-addons (1.32)... [ OK ]
