Bug Description

Upgraded to version 1.99.0 of bindwood, was still unable to sync on 10.10. Upgraded on two of my machines and reset the sync according to the instructions on the Ubuntu One website. No change to syncing.

Do you know whether it is a problem of bookmarks not synchronising, or no desktopcouch databases synchronising? For example, if you are using Ubuntu One contacts, do they synchronise?

If you think it might be a desktopcouch replication issue, please try the following instructions to reset things:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/FAQ/WhyArentMyContactsSyncing

[I realise that this FAQ entry is about contacts, but bookmarks are replicated between machines in the same way]

As this restarts couchdb, you will also need to restart Firefox afterwards.

After the replication has completed, you can verify that the bookmarks are on the Ubuntu One servers by visiting the following page:

    https://one.ubuntu.com/bookmarks/

If things look alright, try the steps to restart desktopcouch on your second machine.

My bookmarks are the only thing I can't get to sync on any of my machines!
I've tried the reset you sent several times in the past and when I upgraded
the add on! Let me know if I can help, Thanks!

Okay. If other CouchDB databases are synchronising and bookmarks are not, then it would be good to get some idea of what Bindwood is doing.

Could you try exiting Firefox, and then run the following from a terminal window?

    BINDWOOD_LOGFILE=$HOME/bindwood.log firefox

Once Firefox has started up, leave it running for a minute or two and shut it down. Could you then attach the resulting log file to this bug report?

Changed in bindwood:
status: New → Incomplete

I have the same problem. Everything works just fine with Ubuntu One, except Bindwood.
I`m on an Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 AMD64.
