Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
I followed the testcase Case ID: SWI-002 (http://
When I was running this command:
sudo netstat -atuvpn | egrep '(127.0.0.1|::):53 .*' | egrep -v ESTABLISHED
No answer was shown.
Additionally, I tried this command:
sudo netstat -atuvpn | egrep -v ESTABLISHED
The output is shown in the attached file.
TCP and TCP6 are listening to the port 953, instead to the port 53 as the testcase documentation says.
If the www.ubuntu.com ip is '91.189.90.41', the DNS test have been succesfully passed.

Hi, thanks for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better!
Unfortunately, this does not appear to be a bug in debian-installer, and also it doesn't seem to be a bug at all: named listens on port 953 only for the localhost, and that port is used by things like ndc to control the server (restart, look at stats, etc.). Because of this, I'll mark this bug as Invalid.
I've also updated the test case slightly.
