Missing Network Connection Info in Panel

Binary package hint: unity

When I move the mouse pointer over the network connection icon on the panel it should show me the information about the signal level and the SSID or the name of the network I'm connected to.

Indicators don't have tooltips. I've asked MPT to find me the documentation why, but he's being slow. This was a design decision at some point.

I've read the desing guide and that seems nice but I think is more intuitive
to have them activated. I don't know if a part of the design is to reduce
the number of unnecessary clicks because this will be one way of doing it.
At least the may appear on the systems indicators, only those that ship with
Ubuntu and offer valuable information about the system.
