Bug Description

When you go to the Nightmonkey page and set the filter to »German«, »untranslated«, »in Software Center«, »multiverse« for »Lucid« [1], e.g. the program »eagle« shouldn't appear there any more – imho – because its package descriptions were already translated by Hendrik K. and me on 24th Sep 2010 and on 13th Dec 2010. But it is listed there with »Section 1« of the description as »not OK« as of now, 5th Mar 2011 @ 23:43 CET.

Another example: When you set the filter like above but this time for »Maverick« instead of »Lucid« [2], e.g. the program »pq« shouldn't appear there any more – imho – because its package descriptions were already translated by me and reviewed by Hendrik K. on 25th Feb 2011 and on 27th Feb 2011. But it is listed there with »Section 1« of the description as »not OK« as of now, 5th Mar 2011 @ 23:43 CET.

Has the automatic update/import/parsing mechanism in Nightmonkey stopped or is it seriously delayed in some way (but within normal working parameters)? I don't think this affects the status updates for the package descriptions in »Natty« though – at least I haven't discovered any odd delays (beside the normal waiting until next morning) for the update (the placing of the »OK«-suffix and then eventually the proper disappearing of the list) for that release yet.

Thanks for some information and investigating on that.

The issue seems to be gradually resolving (on its own?)

The status was correctly updated for the package descriptions in »Maverick« now, though those package descriptions in »Lucid« are still being listed as »not OK« in Nightmonkey despite the fact that they were already translated – as mentioned in the bug description above. I'll keep an eye on this issue for the next days. Maybe this bug can be closed then.

The status of package descriptions for Lucid (only) are not updated in Nightmonkey anymore. At least the package »eagle« [1] should not be marked as untranslated in Nightmonkey anymore. Though this is a minor bug, I'd like you to investigate this please – or is the update interval for Lucid package description statuses in Nightmonkey much larger than »daily« intentionally?

I'll adjust the title of this bug now to summarize the issue more precise.

Thank you very much in advance for checking this out.

summary: - Statistics (»OK«-suffixes to the links) not updated daily for older
- releases than Natty any more
+ Statistics (»OK«-suffixes to the links) not correct for Lucid (at least
+ package »eagle«)

Hi!

Thank you for your report. In my opinion I found the problem:

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mvo/ddtp-ubuntu/ddtp-lucid/view/head:/multiverse/de.po#L2694

This file doesn't contain translated text for eagle package, so Nightmonkey don't know its translation status correctly.

I need to contact with some launchpad guy, because they should fix this sync problem.

Thank you for your patience!

Regards, Sianis

Thanks István and Michael!

I'm testing the workaround mentioned by Michael and given by Danilo. I made new translation suggestions to the package descriptions of »Eagle« in Lucid and then discarded them again. We'll see what happens.

Did you try it? Because there is no change in the exported version.
