Bug Description

Binary package hint: fwts

The cstates experimental test does not work on natty.

It needs to use /sys/devices/system/cpu interface to get C state activity rather than the deprecated /proc/acpi/processor interface.

A newer version 0.22.06 of the firmware test suite (fwts) tool is now available which fixes the above issue and resolves a progress calculation bug that was associated with the same problematic code when I re-tested.

This latest version also addresses a few other bugs:

  * acpidump test: use more sensible heading, fix SCI text
  * hpet test: Fail test and skip sanity check when base address not found
  * bios ebda_region test: close fd on error

New version in natty:

Can this be uploaded? Thanks!
