Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

With each of the bindings in the Launcher (visible when you hold down the Super key), they require the Super to be held down for a longer than expected period of time to trigger the binding. As an example, if I quickly press Super-F to load the files place, nothing happens, if I hold down Super, wait half a second or so and then press F, the files place displays.

Hey Jono, this is done on purpose as per a bug to avoid showing them milestoned to last release. However, your case is quite interesting and we can take it into account, like Super + shortcut and release -> launch the app, don't show the dash.

Note this still happens to me in precise on my S10-3. It's worse than the description suggests, though, because if I hit super-3 to switch to the app bound to 3 in the launcher, often I'll end up typing '3' into the terminal I was on instead (for instance). I have to hold the super key down for varying amounts of time, up to a second.

I can obviously live with this, but I worry about new users typing into libreoffice documents (for instance) without realizing it.
