Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Could you describe the machine on which you are trying to build/install drbd8?

The kernel version for which it was attempting to compile is not the stock lucid version. As kernel source changes quite rapidly, the compile failures are not unexpected. You should have better luck either build (and use) the package under the 2.6.32-29 kernel which is stock in lucid right now, or perhaps trying the maverick drbd8 package, as 2.6.35 is the current maverick kernel.

My apologises.

Im new to your Ubuntu world so please excuse the laments terms

Im running my own wireless business and just got round to your mail now.
In the mean tine i re-formatted and loaded a fresh copy of ubuntu on the
server

The bug happened when i was updating the virtual box application and was
running the update manager at the same time.

Think i was also working on proposals in the open office application on
another desktop (same pc using the desktop cube) Love that feature.

In my attempts to fix I ran the janitor program installed by default under
system sub-menu

So i think there some damage happened as well

I dont know if it could be blamed on the hardware as since i have not gotten
any DB errors .........so far.

Hope this helps as i have no idea
