Yeah, this is a bad problem. I tested it a lot during the weekend but
there are probably still problems persisting.

I do need more info. It would be ideal if you can share with me the
message you were trying to send. If not, please tell me as much as
you can about the message. If you can reproduce the problem, please
do

  M-x load-library RET vm-mime.el RET

That loads the uncompiled code, which will give us a more detailed
backtrace.

If you want to revert to a safer version, use 1076 or earlier.

I found a problem with a conditional statement, and fixed it.
Revision 1099. Maybe this will cure your problem?
