Bug Description
Users should be able to define certain applications that will not show up in the launcher. This is because certain applications, such as LookIt and Caffeine, show up as an icon in Unity, whereas they normally run as background processes/

I've also tried using Compiz's Windows Rules plugin, but it is rather difficult to get any "window" information from non-existent windows. I would have thought that the window that makes the app show up in the launcher would have the same window info as, say, that apps preferences window, but alas that is not true.
Also note that other indicators do not show up as icons in the launcher, such as Glippy and Indicator-Keylock.
