Good morning thanks for the reply.
First Background:
I have been testing natty for almost 3 months. While doing so I have
been downloading PDF files to
read with the document viewer. Up to about a week to 10 days ago no problem

Now: The problem is completely reproducible. With any of the PDF files I have.

Download a PDF document and attempt to use document reader to open
and examine the file.
Document reader begins ( the spinning indicator shows).
After about 30 seconds the indicator is gone and document reader never starts.
I did not go to any logs as I did not know what to look for.
I just used ubuntu-bug to report expecting the gathered info would
give some indication.
If you want me to do some specific steps please let me know.
Also: my system is not up to date, that is, I back ported to the
previous x-org version.
I am using Nvidia cards and they do not work with a fully updated
system, thus my downgrade.
When new Nividia drivers are available I will fully upgrade.
