Don't hesitate to report any bugs you find, even if they are of minor gravity. I'm thankful for each one of them. :-)

I suppose that on your machine, the server window doesn't grow vertically when you expand the 'Advanced Settings', even though it should. This is another thing that works flawlessly on my machines. It should be GTK's responsibility to take care of the resizing. I'd like to find a way to reproduce the problem.

Would you mind telling me what theme you use and what window manager, i.e. Metacity (no effects) or Comiz (effects like shadows)? I suppose that you use the GNOME desktop environment. The content of the server dialog (embedded in another one) is also displayed when starting LottaNZB for the first time as part of the "Start Downloading" dialog. It would be interesting to know if this dialog is also affected. You can temporarily rename ~/.config/lottanzb and ~/.sabnzbd in order to see it.

Well, answering the above questions is unlikely to bring us closer to a solution as I just don't have a clue what the problem could be. ;-)

A short Python script is attached that opens a window with an initially unexpanded expander, containing a label. When expanding it, the label should become visible. Run it using "python resizing.py".

Hm, the behavior is different depending on whether the window is resizable or not. When it is resizable and when 'Advanced Settings' is unexpanded again, the window won't shrink. However, when it isn't resizable, it will return to its original size.

So, to sum up:
- I'm running default standard ubuntu with the default brown theme and compiz.
- The displayed popup when no configuration is found is not truncated
- The pyton script you wrote works as expected

You can find attached an image with the popup in the 3 states (initial, expanded, closed)

Ah! I always thought that the *height* of the window is not increased enough to hold the new content. However, the window is obviously not *wide* enough to hold the option for specifiying the number of connections. And this is something that can be fixed easily!

Nice catch! I wasn't aware of the bug because I'm normally running the English version of the user interface, where no truncation happens.
