Bug Description

Binary package hint: clive

Download of youtube videos is broken on Maveric. With the patch from http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/clive/ticket/1 this is fixed. Patch is attached and has to be copied to /usr/share/perl5/clive/Host/.

This was already fixed in Debian[1]. The package from Squeeze additionally has a fix for vimeo.com.
I would suggest to just backport the clive_2.2.13-5 from Debian Squeeze if somebody wants to fix this in Ubuntu Maverick.

I would think this is fixed in Ubuntu given the fact that we have 2.2.13-5 in Natty. However, I seem to have run into another bug as trying to run clive I encounter the following:

(natty-i386)root@flash:/tmp# clive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iThGBA3TvM
fetch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iThGBA3TvM ...done.
error: no match: `(?-xism:&video_id=(.*?)&)'
