Option menu with ugly empty space

I've seen this on other applications, but since I don't know for sure if it is an application specific bug or related to gtk, I fill this one regarding evince as an evince bug, and appreciate that someone move it to a more adequate package if needed.

I've seen this bug since I started using Gnome (by the time I started using Ubuntu on my machine with Breezy), and it still shows in Edgy, or Gnome 2.16. When an option menu pops up, it doesn't detect a screen edge and displays empty space instead of readjusting the menu contents. I'll attach a screenshot for evince.

This happens in every application where a drop down dialog reaches the end of the screen.

Steps to reproduce in evince:

Open a PDF
Maximize window
Choose zoom level to 400%
Change zoom level

Now a drop down menu will show up but the text isn't aligned with the menu... it is a GTK issue, right?

is this on feisty? can you check if evince and evince-gtk behave similarly? thanks

Yup, exactly the same behavior. It is something "broken" in gtk dialogs... :-(

Same behavior under evince 2.20.1 under gutsy. The zoom levels are scrolled all the say up. They only need to scroll up enough so that the last item is at the bottom of the dialog box. It's a cometic/usability issue, not a functional one.
