Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-networkmanagement

In Kubuntu 10.10 after updgrading to KDE 4.6 and also in 11.04 alpha 2, if you log out from KDE and then log back in KNetworkManager canot reconnect you to wifi network. Only a reboot to the computer solves the problem.
I can reproduce this bug every time.

I have marked this as affecting me but just to add a bit more detail, using 32-bit here and no non-free modules.

Unrelated question, where did you find KDE4.6 Packages, the Kubuntu Updates Launchpad Repo is only up to 4.5.5, or did you build from source?

If you're using Kubuntu Maverick, you can get it. Read here:
http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-4.6.1 (it's already on 4.6.1)
By the way, I think the problem has been solved for me, perhaps with 4.6.1.

When this happens to me, there's a kded process hanging around after I log out. If I switch to a TTY and kill -9 the process, NetworkManager works as expected on the next login. Since I've done this a few times, it seems to have gotten the hint and I haven't been able to reproduce the problem in the past few days.
