Midori doesn't remember zoom settings

When I open a website and press Ctrl+- in order to adjust the zoom factor, display is as I want. But after closing and restarting Midori and reopening the same website, the zoom factor is back to default. So I have to press Ctrl+- every time I visit this site. Other browsers like Firefox remember my zoom settings for each individual website.

(Using Midori 0.28 in Ubuntu 10.10 on a IBM T42 notebook)

My grief is not that Midori doesn't remeber per-tab zoom across restarts, but that it doesn't allow to specify default zoom level for new tabs - I have to zoom in severeal time for each newly opened tab, which is rather annoying. I submitted bug 707026 on this.

In the meantime we got Midori 0.2.9 but this issue has neither been resolved nor does it seem that the developer(s) did take note of it... :-(

This is not a bug, it's a new feature. We need someone to propose a solution and write code.

Would it be enough if the zoom factor is stored in the session (as a first step)? It wouldn't restore the zoom level if you open a new tab with the same url, but save it if midori restarts.
