Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

While i think compiz was alredy leaking slowing during computer use it appears much more significant since update.
Most can be attributed to the places dashboard, either just opening and more so when using

Attached is pidstat log reporting every 60 secs - large increases are from dash, small from normal, none from inactivity
(the 'base' memory use has also incresed quite a bit - previously 50Mb after boot, now 70Mb.
