Hi Andres! The original Debian package FTBFS but nothing related with binutils-gold, there is my error:

Hi Angel,

This package was initially patched in Ubuntu by Matthias Klose, [1]. In this merge, I'm keeping his patches to allow the build of ocfs2-tools given that it indeed FTBFS. I'm attaching a build log for you to see that these patches indeed fix the build failure you are mentioning.
