Metadata is broken in a default install

Metadata tries to set up a forward to 127.0.0.1 by default which is a pretty useless default as iptables prerouting doesn't work to localhost.

That's a resurgence of bug 683541, reintroduced by error in the newlog2 branch:

Ah interesting.

I thought we had this fixed. I still think the newer fix of actually having a flag for my_ip is superior, since it provides one flag to change them all at once if required.
