Bug Description

On a new T410, Ubuntu 10.4 when I close the lid and open it, it sometimes happens that it shows the wrong percentage when I open the lid. It shows the correct "battery is charged". And also acpi shows the battery is 100% .

If I take the battery out and in while on ac-power, the correct percentage is shown. Usually, the wrong pecentage is shown as 10% or 9% . I suspect the acpi is not read properly by the program.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make BatteryStatus better.
And sorry for such long delay.
The point is that battery-status itself don't use any magic for getting power state or information about battery - it's just relies on existing power information "providers" (UPower, in general). In your case it's really may be as bug in acpi, as in some other "component" of power subsystem - sorry, battery-status nothing can't do with that.
So, if you don't have any rejections, I had to mark this bug as invalid.

Changed in battery-status:
assignee: nobody → Ivan Zorin (iaz)
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid

Sir, thanks for the letter but I dont agree

here is the output from

acpi --battery
Battery 0: Unknown, 97

but the symbol shows 9% on the side.

(If you use another system call for the applet, let me know)
