Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
I have been using trial of ubuntu from cdrom.
i have been trying to copy from XFS drive to FAT32, both are USB. Files get only so far and nautilus stops dead. I have somewhat traced this to having difficulties displaying thumbnails along with file names. Folders hang up and all file activities crash. Can't unmount volumes, etc. Killing nautilus doesn't help and I'm not skilled enough to get it to restart. Some other crash reports include compiz process, but that doesn't seem to help either.
There are hundreds of photos in this one folder.

Sorry to not close-out previously. It turns out I had a bad external hard drive. New HD, copied all in a few hours.
