Error during export

The export to (with) UTF-8 seems fine.

The export to (with) Win 1252 seems broken:
1) The filename is irritating (txt OR tsv)
2) The export stops with error message. In fact, a file has been exported anyway, but...
3) ... this file doesn't look as a Win 1252 file (broken characters).

1) The characters are broken in OOo, Gnumeric and Leafpad.

2) Gedit cannot select the encoding automatically and asks for manual setting:
a) UTF-8 doesn't work (expected).
b) ISO 8859-15 doesn't work (expected).
c) Windows-1252 also doesn't work.
In fact, I cannot open the file in Gedit, most likely because of wrong encoding.

windows-1252 option is intentionally broken for everything except Microsoft products because it is not just a encoding, strange things was done underneath to take advanrtage of a MS bug to workaround another MS bug, so I expect it to fail outside of MS products, including OOO, Gnumeric and Leafpad.

It seems you reported multiple bugs in one report:

So it's 3 bugs in total. I WILL TAKE THIS BUG 693288 as correspoding to the 2nd problem you mention because of the screenshot. For 1 and 3, Can you do the following please?

this bug is only on austcham branch, the new version I give you today has this fixed.
