Bug Description

cairo-dock -v
2.2.0-4

Ubuntu 9.10 32bits
Gnome

Running with Open GL (cairo-dock -o)

Graphics: Intel x3100
2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2.2

Theme: custom. Panel view, weather applet with "human" icon theme

To reproduce the bug:
Install the weather applet, set your location, allow it to update. Click on today's forecast -- all information should display with the correct associated icon.
Wait to let it update or reset the connection
After the next forecast update, today's forecast is mostly missing, and the wrong icon displays
However, middle click on main weather applet displays correct full info for today's forecast

Here is the information that is displayed for today's forecast:
debug : (/build/buildd/cairo-dock-2.2.0-4/src/gldit/cairo-dock-dialog-manager.c:cairo_dock_build_dialog:574)
  cairo_dock_build_dialog (Sunday (Dec 12) : N/A
 Temperature : 11°C -> ?°C
 Precipitation probability : 80%
 Wind : ?km/h (?)
 Humidity : ?%
 Sunrise : 7:41 AM Sunset 4:30 PM, same icon, 0, 0, 0 (b249c980;b1cf04f8))

as opposed to other days:
debug : (/build/buildd/cairo-dock-2.2.0-4/src/gldit/cairo-dock-dialog-manager.c:cairo_dock_build_dialog:574)
  cairo_dock_build_dialog (Monday (Dec 13) : Showers
 Temperature : 7°C -> 13°C
 Precipitation probability : 80%
 Wind : 14km/h (SSW)
 Humidity : 90%
 Sunrise : 7:42 AM Sunset 4:31 PM, same icon, 0, 0, 0 (b1659830;b1cf04f8))

Hi,
I don't think this is a bug in the applet, it merely displays what
weather.com sends.
"?" represents the N/A in the data package received
you can check it by loading the following URL:
http://xml.weather.com/weather/local/FRXX0076?dayf=5
replace FRXX0076 with your own code.

If you want to have the current conditions, prefer to middle-click on the
main icon.

set to invalid because obviously weather.com is wrong here.
we could possible try to filter these wrong values, but that's really not a critical issue.

affects: cairo-dock-core → cairo-dock-plug-ins
Changed in cairo-dock-plug-ins:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid

ok, that makes sense. out of curiosity, what causes middle click to display the correct values while the left click on today's value in the sub dock does not? shouldn't they display the same information?

also, have you considered weather underground service? perhaps they have more reliable xml? Docky from gnome-do provides it as an option with weather.com, and i used it to more reliable effect (i have since stopped using Docky):

The weather dock is not maintained as it should. In fact for me is this app abandoned. The maintainer has a big mouth but nothing else.
