Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

I was listening to an internet radio station when this error occurred.

The window with the exception (pasted below) popped up, then banshee switched to a different (unfortunately annoying) internet radio station. I couldn't stop playback nor close banshee. I copied the exception out of the popup and tried to close the popup, no response. Had to do a killall banshee-1.

Unfortunately apport didn't catch this.

Exception output:

An unhandled exception was thrown: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I have made a mistake. The problem I was facing was different from Greg. It looked similar to me then, but when I checked it again today, the exception output slightly is different. In the output of banshee --debug, I saw "The database disk image is malformed". So, I deleted the database file of Banshee and reinstalled it. Now I'm not facing the problem anymore.
