facebook: authentication failure

Binary package hint: empathy

After today's (or yesterday's update facebook does not work on empathy).
Please note that it was working fine before the update available on december 8 2010.

Please do not mark this as a duplicate of an earlier bug report.

please update your system. you are not using the latest empathy in Maverick. After update delete all accounts in empathy and reboot/logout, then add facebook account again and let us know if the problem persists.
PS: generally there are people with facebook authentication have facebook.com already open in their web browser or they are not using their facebook ID, instead using their email address, which wont work.

That seems to be the thing. I tried using the facebook ID instead of my email address and now empathy works fine again.
