Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

When I shut down or reboot the system I see a window "Window manager not responding".
I choose "Log out anyway" and before 10-15 seconds system is shutdown or reboot.

But when i reboot from console by command "sudo reboot" i don't have it problem.

Same and different. Compiz is shown as running when logging out or rebooting. Initial boot always requires logout/login to settle the desktop.

It may have something to do with me not being able to boot at all in Natty using either kernel 2.6.37-7 or 2.6.37-8 at all. Login stalls with 'debug port 1'.

If i knew which application to quote to report the second bug, I would.

This bug has been fixed upstream and is a dupe of another one.
