Bug Description

this error happened when i was trying to install mysql 5 through synaptic. Earlier i've successfully installed apache..
Plz come up with a quick bug fix ASAP.And your effort wil be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your effort in making ubuntu a real front runner in the Linux distros.. and wish u all the best.
Hope with much more robust apps ubuntu will lead the open source into future.

I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
