No library selection.

Mixx won't let me select my library. The folder opens but is dull/gray. It will not let me open and select the files.

Thanks for the report. Do the library columns show up? Or is it completely empty?

The library columns are completely empty-unhighlighted, unselectable. I am
using version 1.8.0

Hi Jason,

Could you please attach a log of Mixxx booting up?

Also, could you please verify that your Library path is set correctly? You can check your Library Path by going to Preferences -> Library. Finally, could you please try to re-run the library scanner? You can trigger a library scanner from the menu bar.

Also, just to double-check, in the library you are looking at the Library section, not the Browse section, right?

Hi Jason,
is this still a problem with the latest stable release ?

Remove Mixxx 1.8.1 (the version from Ubuntu software center),
delete your mixxx config folder /home/foo/.mixxx/

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) and 10.10 (Maverick) install:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mixxx/mixxx
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mixxx libportaudio2

This will install the latest version of Mixxx from the Mixxx PPA on Launchpad.
