adobe flash player crashes when switched to full screen

using adobe flash player to view ie bbc news channel, when switched to full screen flash player just crashes
tried shockwave flash and that does the same thing crashes on full screen

Can you tell us the full version number of the Adobe Flash player as found in Synaptic Package Manager? The latest version available for Hardy seems to be 10.0.1.218+really9.0.289.0ubuntu1 , as per https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree
