Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

 - This is a bug and not a papercut
For further information about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut.
Don't worry though, this bug has been marked as "Invalid" only in the papercuts project.

affects: hundredpapercuts → null

I think this bug is a rather small usability issue. This bug has been around for some releases. It is still present in Ubuntu 10.10.
I have a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS. I don't think that the type of camera matters.

I took a screenshot. You can even generate this bug with the Ubuntu 10.10 live-cd.

There is a bug related to this problem : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/196757 : camera automount prevents import
and a I filed a question about this issue in Askubuntu : http://askubuntu.com/questions/3996/how-to-mount-a-digital-camera-for-the-right-applications.

In my opinion one be allowed to add "camera" in the udev-rules iso of "audio".
