Binary package hint: rhythmbox

hi,
i notice visualization graphics when playing rhythmbox stops on the next music track.
visualization will not start again until i restart rhythmbox.
if for example the visualization will play then change the "goom -what a goom" to another plugins, the rhythmbox will close/shutdown. then i will need to restart all over again.
i downloaded some torrents (music ) and burn it to cd via brasero.
since then the visualization acted funny..

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? thanks for reading my question.
the problem is with ubuntu 9.10.
i moved to 10.04 few days ago and as i write this i decided to test rhythmbox.
i still get the same problem.
visualization will freeze/stop on next music file.

i tested also movie player visualization when streaming music from internet.
http://www.shoutcast.com
if i will stream music in AAC+ type, movie player will open and visualization will
automatically play, i don't have problem with movie player visualization as long as internet signal is steady.
in case internet will momentarily stop, i just see buffering but music and visualization will continue
once signal is back. unlike with rhythmbox.
what ever i play in rhythmbox, stream. music folder etc, visualization is in trouble.

i don't know the problem and solution, but i think it has something to do with signal or command to visualization to play once music starts.
anyway, i hope you find pesticide for this bug..

i decided to use 10.04 because i received original cd from canonical and that is what i use
to install to some friends who wants to try ubuntu.
they like it because of longer support but do you think i should move to natty narwhal ?

yes please, a similar issue was fixed on Natty, that's why we're asking to re test with that new version, thanks a lot for the response Gary.

hi,
 natty is not LTS, and that means i need to install new version after 6-18
months.
can i just test rhythmbox with another laptop ?
i will try to find one.
it just so happen i tested it and so i filed report. and i was hoping
everything should work after 9.10.
ok. this will be all for now,
my other problem is the user name on upper panel.
sometimes it is doubled and i don't have the power off button/icon.
the power off button/icon is replace by user name.
i will file report about too..
